WHY STUDY LEVEL 2?
Each year approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health condition and at least 1 in 6 employees experience common mental health problems in the workplace. Research has shown that work is the biggest cause of stress which can stop people performing at their best. Mental health conditions are often hidden due to stigma and fear of discrimination and research has shown that a culture of fear and silence around mental health is costly to employers. The HSE guidance 'First aid needs assessment’ refers to mental health in the workplace. Those who complete Level 2 will be First Aiders for Mental health and will both support their colleagues and promote a positive Mental Health culture in the workplace.

Testimonials

As we work in construction, we were very well aware that our industry has the highest rate of suicide and we have been increasingly aware of the need for mental health awareness training but not just our team but also the benefit of our customers. We thoroughly enjoyed the training and it has taught us much about mental health but most importantly, given us the tools needed to improve both the stigma surrounding mental health issues and to be able to identify the signs and symptoms of mental health conditions.
